Onimusha: Way of the Sword
20 years after the release of the last serialized part, the cult series returns to its roots, rethinking the samurai action genre. Onimusha: Way of the Swordharmoniously combines the classic atmosphere of dark Japanese fantasy with the cutting-edge technology of a new generation of gaming platforms.
The world has plunged into chaos: Kyoto and its surroundings are shrouded in dark energy - “Malice”, which has awakened an ancient evil. The main character, the legendary ronin Miyamoto Musashi, finds himself at the very center of the confrontation between humanity and the demonic race Genma. To win, he will have to use not only his twin blades, but also the mystical Oni Glove, capable of absorbing the souls of fallen enemies and granting crushing power.
Key features:
Legend of cinema in a video game:The appearance and facial expressions of the main character are completely copied fromToshiro Mifune, the main samurai of world cinema. This gives the game a cinematic depth and authenticity.
Combat on the edge:Forget about random button mashing. The fighting style is based on perfect timing. The return of the Issen mechanic allows you to crush even the most powerful enemy with one well-calibrated blow per second of the enemy's attack.
Evolution of the game world: For the first time in the series, corridor locations have given way to a structure with open world elements. Explore detailed recreations of Kyoto's historical districts, bamboo groves, ancient temples and hidden ninja villages.
The Magic of the Oni Glove:Absorb the souls of defeated demons. Red souls will improve your weapons and armor, blue ones will restore mana for destructive spells, and yellow souls will restore health at the most critical moment of the battle.
Next generation graphics: Thanks to the RE Engine, the game demonstrates an incredible level of detail: from the photorealistic fabric of a kimono to the mesmerizing play of light and shadow in foggy forests of medieval Japan.
