The dark revival of the foggy town is well underway. Following the critical and commercial success of the Silent Hill 2 remake developed by Bloober Team, franchise producer Motoi Okamoto has officially confirmed that Konami is already shaping second and third waves of upcoming projects in the Silent Hill universe.
Konami's Long-Term Horror Franchise Roadmap
In a recent address regarding the brand's trajectory, the producer stated that his chief responsibility today is guiding the multi-year future of the franchise. The first phase has successfully proven that audiences are hungry for deep, atmospheric psychological survival horror.
«We cannot share specific details just yet, but my primary focus now is contemplating the future of Silent Hill and actively organizing the second and third waves of upcoming games,» stated Okamoto.
What Lies Ahead for Silent Hill
While second and third wave projects are taking shape behind closed doors, players already have distinct titles to anticipate from the initial wave:
Silent Hill: Townfall — A narrative psychological experience helmed by No Code and Annapurna Interactive.
Silent Hill f — An all-new mainline horror journey set in 1960s Japan, written by acclaimed visual novelist Ryukishi07.
Future Classics Reimagined — The resounding acclaim for the remade Silent Hill 2 has paved the way for potential reimaginings of other foundational installments in the series.
Global Studio Partnerships
Okamoto reaffirmed that Konami welcomes creative pitches and collaboration with independent studios worldwide. By combining fresh global design perspectives with the trademark psychological tension of Team Silent's legacy, the franchise is poised for a sustained golden age.
